Drip Email Marketing… use it right and it can work well!

We’ve been doing Email Drip Marketing for the last year. Here’s a quick video blog on this topic:

About a year ago, I finally got to the part of my to-do list where I got all my clients into a database and started emailing them regularly.

Each time I’d send out an email, we’d get 10-20 replies – sometimes on the topic we’d emailed about and sometimes about something different. The point is, it reminded our clients that we were thinking of them, and wanting to stay in touch.

Why has it worked for us? I think the key is that these were all people who we’d done business with or been in touch for one reason or another. There’s an option to unsubscribe. We don’t email them often.

Internet Fax Service

Here are some details:

When you sign up for SRFAX you have three options.

  1. You keep yor existing fax number.
  2. We issue you with a new local SRFax number or
  3. We issue you with a personal Toll-Free 800 fax number.

You can use the issued number directly or by forwarding your existing fax number to it.

Receiving Faxes with SRFAX

When faxes are sent to your fax number, SRFax’s systems receive the fax and then converted it to an industry standard PDF file (or TIFF graphic file if you prefer). TIFFs are universally supported by Windows PCs and Macs and will automatically open when you click on them.

The TIFF or PDF file is then attached to an email and sent to you at the email address you have assigned. When you receive the email you can view the fax onscreen and then you have the option to either print, save, forward or delete the email – the choice is yours.

Sending Faxes with SRFAX

With an SRFAX account you can send a fax from your desktop in two different ways provided you have an internet connection:

  • Email: You can email the document(s) & images to the SRFax server which will then convert the documents into a faxable format and send it to the fax number you specified in the email message.
  • Via Web Site: You can follow the step-by-step directions on the SRFax website.

Here are some common questions & answers

Q. Where do you shoot?

A. I have studio space near Granville Island I have chosen for it’s great natural light.

Q. Film or digital?

A. For corporate headshots I use digital because the client can instantly see what their photo looks like and the turn around time is quicker.

Q. What should I wear?

A. Avoid all black or all white and patterns. Layers such as a mid tone or white blouse or shirt under a dark blazer work well or a solid color shirt with a flattering neckline is recommendable. Be sure that you feel good in it and it is something you might wear in your business. After all, we are trying to capture you! Bring a few options to the shoot.

Q. How long does a photoshoot take?

A. For one person a shoot takes up to an hour.

Q. What about hair and make up?

A. Wear your hair as you normally would. Bring a brush and some gel for those fly aways.

For women, if you feel confident doing your own make up then keep it natural, otherwise I can hire a make up artist for you.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. For one person, the fee is $250.00 and includes editing, all usage fees and ownership of the digital files. For two or more or team photos, the fee per person decreases.

Q. How long after the shoot do I get the images on CD?

A. I can have the CD to you in a day or two unless otherwise specified.
